At the very beginning of time, God revealed Himself in a profound way. The Scriptures remind us that there is indeed Someone called God (Psalm 14:1; Proverbs 10:35), and it is only a fool who says there is no God. When He first introduced Himself to humanity, He chose the name "The All-Sufficient God" (Genesis 17:1; Luke 1:37). In His infinite power, God created two principal things: Heaven and Earth. Heaven, in all its splendour, became His throne, while Earth, though filled with chaos and disorder, was placed under His feet as His footstool (Isaiah 66:1).
God's Authority Over Chaos
The Earth was initially chaotic, full of turmoil and emptiness. Yet, even in this state, God demonstrated His sovereignty by placing it under His control, speaking order into existence. Our God, seated in the Heavens, controls all the affairs of the Earth by His Word. The moment He speaks, it comes to pass (Psalm 33:9; Genesis 1:3). When He declared, "Let there be light," light immediately dispelled the darkness.
