Heaven - Day One - House Fellowship

Heaven is a place where God resides, as described in Isaiah 66:1, "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool." This divine place is wherever God's throne is established. You can prepare a place for God in your heart, transforming it into His throne, and wherever God's throne is prepared, heaven is present. Whether it’s in your heart or your home, creating a space for God invites heaven into that space.

When you host a house fellowship in your home, it becomes a throne of God, where people can experience a taste of heaven. This is exemplified in Matthew 8:14-17, where Jesus visited Peter's house. The news of the King of Kings being present spread quickly, drawing everyone with various ailments to seek healing. Jesus healed Peter's mother-in-law who was sick with a fever, illustrating that when heaven enters, hell has to leave. The fever immediately left upon Jesus' arrival, showing the power and presence of heaven.

As a house fellowship leader, you are an agent of the kingdom of heaven. The Bible refers to leaders of churches and house fellowships as angels (Revelation 2:1-7). Your role is significant because you are creating a space where God is enthroned, allowing others to experience heaven.

For those who host fellowship meetings in their homes, consider the following:

  1. Keep Your Home Spotlessly Clean: Deuteronomy 23:14 emphasizes the importance of cleanliness, "For the Lord your God moves about in your camp to protect you and to deliver your enemies to you. Your camp must be holy so that he will not see among you anything indecent and turn away from you." A clean home is a comfortable place for God to dwell.
  2. Clean Up Your Language: As a house fellowship leader, your language should reflect the presence of heaven in your home. 1 Peter 1:15-16 calls us to be holy in all we do, "But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am holy.'" Your words should edify and reflect God's holiness because people will be listening to you, and more importantly, God will be listening too.
  3. Be Serious in Your Commitment to God: You can no longer be careless with your relationship with God. As a leader, your commitment must be strong and evident in all aspects of your life. Your dedication sets the tone for others and invites God's presence into your fellowship.
  4. Remember, wherever you create a throne for God, heaven is there. By preparing your heart and home for God's presence, you are inviting the divine into your everyday life and allowing others to experience a glimpse of heaven through your fellowship.
