28 September – 3 October 2026/Redemption City, Lagos–Ibadan Expressway
The six days
The whole story, in one place

For six days, a generation gathered at Redemption City with one shared expectation: a genuine encounter with God. From the opening prayers to the final benediction, IYC 2026 became an experience of HEAVEN on earth.

Worship, testimonies, prayer, words from our fathers and mothers. Every moment mattered, every chapter unfolded, and every part of the story came alive. This is the full story, with every chapter given room to breathe.

A generation hungry for more of God waited in His presence for six hours in prayer, and the night falls on a roar of praise.

Day One: The Gates Open

The arrival

Redemption City was already buzzing with life before the opening session. Sunday brought the Leadership Conference as young people and leaders arrived from across regions, provinces and nations, each carrying their own expectations for HEAVEN 2026.

By Monday, the YAYA Global Auditorium was alive with registration, reunions and new connections. With every arrival, the anticipation grew. Hearts were expectant, and one question lingered: what would God have in store for a generation gathered under one theme — HEAVEN?

The Ceremony for Rise and the RISE 31 showcase set things in motion, reminding young people that God-given gifts are meant to be nurtured and released into the world.

Registration was more than a queue. It was the first portrait of the convention — movement, reunion, service and expectancy in the same frame.

Lambano Hour

6hours

One unbroken altar.

Not six separate meetings. One sustained movement of prayer — reaching, receiving and refusing to let go.

λαμβάνω · to take hold

Inside Lambano Hour video poster

For six hours, the altar remained alive with prayer. At Lambano, there was no room for distraction, no rushing through the moment. Voices rose, hearts poured out, and thousands pressed in with one desire: to encounter God.

Some stood, others knelt, some wept as they cried out to God. This was more than a gathering; it was a generation reaching beyond the ordinary, refusing to leave the same way they came. And as the hours of intense prayer gave way to worship, one thing was clear: the hunger in the room had not been satisfied.

The opening parade

Young people from every province and region gathered in a vibrant parade, sharing what Heaven meant to them. Their praises filled the arena, celebrating faith, unity, and hope well past midnight.

Praise broke the night open.

He led a congregation already formed by hours of prayer into exuberant praise. The ministration did not interrupt the altar; it gave the altar another sound — call, answer, movement and joy travelling through the open-air crowd.

Pastor in charge of the youth ministry worldwide · Holiness

Pastor Sola Olukoya did not present holiness as religious polish. He described it as the evidence of another citizenship: obedience formed in the heart, carried into ordinary choices and made visible through an ambassador’s life.

01

Holiness is your visa.

02

The standard for holiness is what God approves.

03

Another word for holiness is obedience.

01

Do I love this person?

02

What is this relationship producing in me?

03

Who am I becoming through this relationship?

Love matters, but it cannot be the only question. The session moved discernment beyond attraction and toward formation: every close relationship is producing something, and wisdom asks whether that formation agrees with Heaven’s design.

Eden Restored.

Salvation restores more than a future destination. Pastor Femi Oyetunde traced the believer’s life back to God’s original intention: His presence carried by people who belong to Heaven and make its influence felt wherever they are sent.

01Salvation is more than a ticket to Heaven.

02Whatever was lost through Adam is restored through Christ.

03Wherever you go, the influence of God must be felt.

A day built in movements

Day Two moved from prayer on the road into holy living, wise relationships, restored purpose, conviction, craft and sustained intercession. Each movement answered a different part of the same life.

01 · Prayer Walk

The road became an altar

Young people moved through the city praying, singing and gathering one another into circles of intercession.

02 · Holiness

Live like a citizen of Heaven

Pastor Sola Olukoya presented holiness as the daily language of people whose true citizenship is above.

03 · Relationships

Ask before you say yes

Pastor Mrs. Titi Olukoya replaced wishful thinking with questions about character, direction and the person in front of you today.

04 · Eden Restored

Manifest Heaven here

Pastor Femi Oyetunde connected salvation to restored purpose: carry God’s presence, become salt and represent Christ on earth.

05 · Identity

Know who you are

Pastor Daniel challenged young people to own their faith before entering rooms that might ask them to dilute it.

06 · Worship

The room found its response

Blessing Lopez and the music team carried the congregation from listening into a shared language of celebration and surrender.

07 · Craft

Tools in the hand

Gele tying, fabric beading and web design turned empowerment into something visible and repeatable.

08 · Lambano

Day Three: Depth & Destiny

Pastor Leke Adeboye · Integrity and influence

“Excellence means you leave a place better than you met it.”

Pastor Leke Adeboye traced influence back to character. Integrity is more than a public word: it is keeping promises, being honest when a promise cannot be kept and leaving every assignment cleaner than it was found. Resourcefulness belongs inside that character — capacity that can be trusted with what Heaven releases.

Pastor Poju Oyemade · Soul winning

An effective witness provides evidence of the very thing they say.

Soul winning begins before speech. The inward man must be formed, the witness must tarry for the Spirit’s direction, and the message must be carried in words the hearer can understand. The proof is not talk alone, but a life and ministry through which the resurrected work of Christ becomes visible.

Pastor Poju Oyemade teaching during Day Three
01

Tarry first

The first act of obedience is to wait on God. Depend on the Holy Spirit for power, direction and the utterance to preach.

02

Make Christ understood

Speak the Word of Christ in a way your audience can understand; an open door is an opportunity to minister unto the Lord.

03

Bring evidence

An effective witness does not only talk about Jesus. The witness brings proof of the resurrected work through a transformed life and the power of God.

04

Move with direction

Let the Holy Spirit direct your steps, set goals for soul winning and remain aligned with God rather than moving by impulse.

Pastor Phillip Olubakin · Relationships and marriage

“A home is not built by beauty. It is built by wisdom.”

Pastor Phillip Olubakin moved the relationship conversation away from projection and toward discernment. Wisdom looks past appearance, charisma and potential to examine character, maturity, patterns, friendship, spiritual alignment and the person who is actually present today.

01Do not marry with the hope that someone will change; discern who the person is today.

02Marriage and ministry are not meant to destroy one another. Build friendship strong enough to carry both.

03God does not impose one person; His Word helps you recognise the kind of person with whom a wise home can be built.

04Know how a prospective partner responds under anger, pressure and correction — patterns speak more clearly than promises.

05Two people need to believe God on the same page before they build a life together.

The career sessions made room for questions that are difficult to answer from a pulpit alone. In these spaces, young people could ask questions, hear from experienced professionals, explore their career paths and begin to figure out what their next steps might look like.

From depth to direction

Teaching, counsel and prayer were not competing programmes. Together they formed a day about becoming ready — inwardly, relationally and professionally.

01 · Character

Become trustworthy

Pastor Leke traced lasting influence through integrity, holiness, excellence, accountability, resourcefulness, transparency and sacrificial service.

02 · Witness

Bring evidence of Christ

Pastor Poju joined inward formation to outward witness: tarry, receive direction, speak clearly and depend on the Spirit’s power.

03 · Wisdom

Choose character over projection

Pastor Phillip called relationships back to maturity, patterns, friendship, purity and spiritual alignment.

04 · Work

Name the next step

Career panels and syndicate rooms translated broad ambition into questions, counsel and practical direction.

05 · Prayer

Lay hold of destiny

Fervent prayers closed the distance between instruction and response. The room did not merely agree; it prayed.

The teaching became prayer

After character, witness, relationships and work had been addressed, fervent prayer closed the distance between instruction and response.

Fervent prayers were prayed.

The teaching became a response as the congregation laid hold of destiny.

Across the day, the posture remained the same: listen closely, write it down, ask the question, respond in prayer.

Day Four: When Heaven Came Down

The gathering

A sea of youths video poster

The convention reached its largest visual scale. As far as the eye could see, the grounds filled — a sea of young people, a stage full of voices and one Name lifted high.

Praise rose like a flood, but the size of the room did not make the encounter impersonal. Every lifted hand belonged to someone who had carried prayers, questions and expectation into the night.

Before the main session

Lambano prepared the room again. The scale had changed; the posture had not.

Direction before distance

The Word · Business, career and Kingdom purpose

Your work is a platform for Kingdom influence.

Pastor Kola Oyeneyin challenged the room to see business and career beyond making a living. Work is a platform for service, witness and Kingdom influence, but motion alone is not purpose: it is dangerous to travel far only to discover that the destination was wrong.

01Business and career are more than ways to earn; they are platforms through which Kingdom purpose can become visible.

02Direction must be settled before speed. Distance travelled cannot rescue a journey aimed at the wrong destination.

03Purpose gives ambition a destination, service gives influence its meaning and God’s design gives work its true measure.

“When Jesus died on the cross, He provided a new heart.”

Daddy G.O. moved from the miracle of salvation to the life that must follow it. New birth begins the journey to Heaven; sanctification is not surface repair but the gift of a brand-new heart, a new name and a life fully surrendered to Jesus.

05Day Five · 2–3 Oct

Worship reached its height, prayer gathered every loose end, and a generation was sent out with eternity in view.

Day Five: Sent Forth

The final chapter

By the final chapter, the convention had accumulated its own memory: prayers carried from earlier days, phrases repeated in conversations, songs that now belonged to the whole gathering. The closing sessions did not attempt to start again. They gathered everything that had already happened.

Fresh teaching came before the final movement of worship. Two sessions returned the room to pattern and purpose: how Heaven orders earthly life, and how a calling is built strongly enough to carry weight.

The question beneath the celebration was simple: what will this encounter look like after everyone leaves Redemption City?

The Word · Heavenly patterns

Model your life according to Heaven’s pattern.

Pastor Soberekon brought Heaven into conduct, speech, worship and relationships. Heaven has a blueprint to practise now: earthly realities take their shape from the pattern we follow, the declarations we make and the value we attach to heavenly things.

From the session

Do not live below God’s expectation for your life

Watch the charge, then follow the five patterns it called the room to practise.

01

Practise Heaven here

Heaven is not only a future hope. Its order must become visible in the believer’s life on earth.

02

Use your mouth for declarations

Speech carries spiritual responsibility; the mouth should agree with God’s pattern rather than magnify complaint.

03

Value heavenly things

Attention, hunger and desire reveal what a life considers weighty.

04

Give thanks as worship

Thanksgiving is both Heaven’s password and a weapon of worship.

05

Honour God’s pattern in relationships

Marriage and sexuality are God’s ideas; covenant must be handled according to His design.

The Word · Building with purpose

Earth is the place of assignment.

Pastor Femi Oyewunmi refused an escapist idea of heavenly citizenship. Believers have legal authority to operate on earth, and the assignment carried here determines the eternal weight of the life being built.

The field

Earth

The place of assignment. Believers carry legal authority here; citizenship never becomes an excuse to withdraw.

The horizon

Heaven

The destination and measure. What is faithfully built on earth carries eternal consequence.

01

Carry legal authority

Heavenly citizenship authorises faithful action on earth; it is not permission to retreat from responsibility.

02

Know your assignment

Earth is the field of work. Purpose becomes practical when the assignment is named and obeyed.

03

Build from brokenness

The Nehemiah generation does not ignore ruins. Rebuilding begins when brokenness is honestly faced.

04

Build with structure

Purpose needs foundations, disciplines and pillars strong enough to carry responsibility.

05

Serve beyond enthusiasm

Calling must survive after the energy of the convention has passed.

06

Keep Heaven as the measure

The assignment fulfilled on earth shapes the place and reward prepared in eternity.

SATGO prayer session

The closing movement returned the convention to the posture that had sustained it from the first day. In the SATGO prayer session, the congregation pressed in together — not asking for a moment to preserve, but for grace to live what had been received.

Prayer gathered the teachings, skills, relationships, worship and personal encounters into a single response. The convention could end because the assignment did not.

The sending

The final day did not reduce the week to a slogan. It named a way to continue.

01 · Pattern

Let Heaven order the visible life

Pastor Soberekon Omininite called the room to measure earthly realities against Heaven’s pattern.

02 · Purpose

Build what can carry weight

Pastor Femi Oyewunmi framed purpose as a deliberate structure, strengthened by foundations that endure beyond the event.

03 · Worship

Keep the heart surrendered

The atmosphere may change, but worship remains a daily posture of obedience and attention.

04 · Prayer

Keep the altar alive

The final prayer session was never meant to remain a convention moment. The invitation is to continue in prayer.

05 · Eternity

Keep Heaven in view

Every earthly assignment finds its shape when eternity remains the horizon.
